The Library is the journal of the Bibliographical Society, published quarterly and devoted to the history of the book: printing, publishing, bookbinding, manuscripts and the methods of bibliographical scholarship. This lot brings together five bound volumes from the 1940s, edited by F. C. Francis and printed at the Oxford University Press. It will suit book historians, rare book librarians, collectors and anyone researching early printing and the book trade.
The books have some toning, dust marks and light spotting on the cloth spines, and there are some scuff marks, scratches and small spots on the paper-covered boards, with light rubbing and bumping to the edges and corners and some dust toning to the top edges. See photos
