Marcus van Veenan, an Astra Militarum officer hoping to see out his career quietly, is captured along with hundreds of Guardsmen when an ork warboss overruns the planet Rotauri. Put to work building a vast and bizarre ork effigy, he must reluctantly organise a breakout from the prison camp and get word of the growing Waaagh! back to the Imperium. A short Warhammer 40,000 novella with a prisoner-of-war escape plot, for Black Library readers and anyone who enjoys Imperial Guard or ork stories.
The covers are clean with only a few small marks on the back board and light rubbing to the spine ends and corners, but the endpaper has split and torn along the inner hinge, exposing the binding underneath. See photos
