An edited technical volume from the University of California Engineering and Physical Sciences Extension Series, bringing together chapters by several specialists on low-temperature engineering. It covers cryogenic fluids and their properties, refrigeration and liquefaction, insulation and related practical engineering, with a strong slant towards the aerospace and rocket work of the early 1960s. It suits engineers, physicists and collectors of space-age technical literature, and works as a companion to Vance and Duke's Applied Cryogenic Engineering.
The book is in its dust jacket, which has wear and chipping to the top and bottom of the spine, rubbing and scuff marks along the edges and corners, small nicks and a short tear to the bottom edge of the rear panel, and some soiling to the rear panel; the cloth boards are clean, and the top edge of the pages has some dust marks and a small red mark.
