This illustrated book documents a huge diorama of Cröbern, a village south of Leipzig that saw heavy fighting during the Battle of the Nations in October 1813. Built for the battle's bicentenary, the diorama recreates 16 October 1813 with around 20,000 miniature figures across more than 500 square feet. Wolfgang Meyer covers the historical events, how the diorama was built, and the materials and techniques he used, alongside many photographs of the finished model. It will suit Napoleonic history readers, wargamers and diorama or model-making enthusiasts.
