A short illustrated history of the Glasgow Subway, the city's circular underground railway, from the plans and parliamentary Bills of the 1880s through its opening in 1896 and decades of cable and electric operation, to the run-down system of the 1970s and the start of full modernisation in 1977. It is illustrated with black-and-white photographs, a route map and a back cover of old Subway tickets. It suits anyone interested in Glasgow's history, British urban railways or transport ephemera.
The pamphlet has light general wear, with slight toning to the cover and a little waviness to the paper, and there appears to be a faint mark in the top corner of page 3; the staples and pages shown are clean and intact. See photos
