A uniform set of Sir Walter Scott's Waverley Novels, the series of historical romances that did much to shape the modern historical novel. The stories range from the Jacobite risings and Covenanter struggles in Scotland to medieval England, the Crusades and the English Civil War, and include Waverley, Ivanhoe, Rob Roy, Kenilworth, The Heart of Mid-Lothian and Quentin Durward. A good choice for readers of classic Scottish and historical fiction, or for anyone wanting a matching Victorian set of Scott's novels for the shelf.

The volumes have rubbing and scuffing to the leather spines and corners, with some chipping and flaking to the leather on at least one spine and wear to the spine heads, and the cloth boards have scattered marks and scuffs; inside, the pages are clean and bright with some light foxing and spotting, mainly near the title pages.
