A collection of eleven Sotheby's auction catalogues from London sales between 1978 and 2006, covering mainly Victorian and 19th-century paintings, drawings, watercolours and sculpture, along with Modern British and Irish art, Old Master paintings, and one sale of clocks, watches, barometers and mechanical musical instruments. Each catalogue lists the lots with artist, title, medium, dimensions and estimates, with many illustrations. The set includes three Sotheby's Belgravia catalogues from 1978-79. A useful reference for collectors, dealers, art historians and anyone researching the British art market or tracing particular artists and works.

The catalogues show general wear consistent with age. The three older red Belgravia catalogues have fading and discoloured marks at the spine ends, wavy page edges, and the top one has a creased, lifting front cover. The later catalogues have some rubbing and scuffing to the spines, edges and corners, with the lettering worn on one spine. The inside pages seen are clean. See photos
