A detailed study of Paul McCartney's 1986 album Press to Play and the troubled period of 1985–86 around it. Luca Perasi draws on contemporary sources and his own interviews with Hugh Padgham, Jerry Marotta and Carlos Alomar to cover the recording sessions at Hog Hill Mill, the mix of 80s synthesisers and vintage instruments, the songwriting with Eric Stewart, B-sides and unreleased songs, and the knocks to McCartney's confidence at the time. It is aimed at McCartney and Beatles fans and anyone interested in 1980s record production.
The book has a crease at the top of the front and back covers near the spine, with some rubbing and wear to the cover and edges, and the covers have a slight curl. See photos
